David Martin, lead singer for the group, is from Mooresville, NC. David is manager and one of the original members.
David and his wife, Amy, have two children - Megan and Andrew. The Martins are members of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville.
David began singing gospel music at a very young age. When not singing, he also enjoys watching and participating in sports.
Doug Henderson sings baritone. He is also from Mooresville, NC.
Doug managed and sang lead with Southern Sanctuary from 1996 until the group dissolved in 2005. In June of 2005, he was called to serve as interim Worship Leader at his home church - a position which he accepted and in which he served until March of 2008.

Ryan Taulbee from Rock Hill, SC sings tenor and also plays piano for the group. He also has a background in southern gospel music, singing with Daybreak from Atlanta, GA. Ryan and his wife Michelle have two children; Kayla, and Katelyn. The Taulbees are members of Inspiration Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Ryan loves to sing and play the piano. This is evident when you see him perform.During the years that Joyful Hearts has been in existence, there have been five recording projects released. “From Our Hearts To Yours”, “Giving God The Glory”, “Cross Over”, “Standing Firm”, and the newest recording is entitled “Rejoice”. Joyful Hearts chose each of these titles to show how our Lord richly blesses each and every day of our lives. If you will ask, it will be given. If you will seek, you will find.
